winter wonderland
“WHEW“, I just spent about 12+ hours working on the backgrounds for the short that I have to do in Digital iink & paint class. We had some constraints about how we could do the backgrounds, we had to do at least two in a raster form. If you ask me that just sounds dissasterous. It got me to thinking that maybe the teacher was setting us up for the okeedoke. (I like that word, it’s silly) Seriously, we’ve had very little time in class to actually work due to his extensive lectures on what isn’t even really digital ink & paint, but introductory flash animation. For ephs sake, what’s going on here?! He wants to teach one thing while we sit in a class built to teach us something totally different. Well, per usual I went off on my own an taught myself by doing a bunch of research and exploring on the internet into background design. I have to admit… with the exception that they are low-rez raster based pics…I’m impressed with what came out on the screen. I merged the two Panoramic scenes just to see what they’ll look like together, but I left out the foreground trees since they’re only on screen (passing) for a short while. (see my
| animatic, to know what I’m on about) I want to learn how to use Corel Painter, because I see some really awesome work featured in their magazine. For now, I’ll stick with Photoshop. Okay, enough typing, it’s late…enjoy the pics. |
