Animatics!

I’m doing a new short in my digital ink and paint class, and this is the

animatic I did for it. It’s a SHORT short only just over 15 seconds, but we’re only alotted 30 seconds max. Next I’ll be doing the soundtrack and foley work. Cid is a time gestalt from my old comic book series Penumbra, which is a spin off from an older paranormal series called The Pandora Project. But more about that later. In the actual cartoon their will be snow falling across the foreground and the background. Just light snow fall nothing blizzardly. Is that even a word? I’ve been talking about wanting to do a snow sequence for about three or four quarters now, so here we go. I’m watching the hell out of Bambi right now, because it’s the first thing I can remember with really awesome snow in it. If I remember correctly, in the behind the scenes footage they said they filmed corn flakes falling, then played the sequence back an drew it. Not over it. But drew it from site. Those guys were amazing. I’ll also have to watch lots of real footage of snow falls. It’ll be good research. I just want a quiet animation, with no dialog just soft music and sound effects. See it in four weeks, ’cause that’s all the time we have. Heres the link to the animatic.

Yay you put your animatic up! This thing looks really nice even if the pacing is a little messed up right now. I can’t wait to see the finished animation.
